no, this never happened on XBL. XBL itself has been down for maintenance a few times, but the pick uncrowded times for that.

killzone looks better (graphics only game), but besides that who's gonna have the most fun, most replayability, feutures etc. on top of that Reach might not have the best graphics ever, they still look damn good.
