I need LAN feature to play SC2 at work with co-workers. There is no way to connect to battle.net through the firewall / proxy. Without LAN, the only solution is to pirate it with a version including some kind of bnet emulator, which is the opposite of your idea behind removing LAN.
Easiest to say Recka, Starcraft isn't starcraft without LAN.
End of that ;)
It's bad.. a real bad move... LAN is the essence of Starcraft.
