I know that the HD DVD is probably not the most popular player rite now with Warner Bro's going towards Blue Ray. But, I would love to own both that way all the HD DVD's that come out marked down. I will be able to just grab them up and play them. That will be sweet.

I understand that the ps3 is a powerful system. But, my question is how is a ps3 going to rip a blue ray disc to the hard drive, and then shrink it in just a matter of a few seconds?
Maybe it wont rip it to the hard drive, but even still shrinking a file that is a few gigs in size to just a few hundred megs (if thats the case) is a considerable amount of processing power.
Am I under estimating the ps3? Or is their something else involved that i'm not looking at?...
