how the hell is sony forcing you to buy blu-ray and if anything it's business. fox, disney and MGM already know what format is better and consumers also know which is why they choose blu-ray. they didn't need to be bribed with 150 million dollar contracts to sell movies on blu-ray unlike the HD DVD group did with paramount. don't blame sonyfor HD DVD's failure blame the consumers who chose it, the studios just followed suit. because the way i see it sony is just giving me more movies that i ca...
they realize how succesful blu-ray is not by getting paid by the blu-ray group unlike the HD DVD group which had to pay for paramount exclusivity.
can't wait for this. when does the PSeye release anyway?
im trying to purchase the 47" 1080p version i don't want to limit my ps3 to 720p/1080i
the consumers are decieding whether to go Blu-Ray or HD-DVD and they have obviously chosen blu-ray which draws exclusivity from companies such as disney, blockbuster, woolsworth (like wal-mart in the UK), Warner Bros just to name a few but when it comes to movies on HD-DVD the HD-DVD group has to pay for exclusivity (much like microsoft) the article says it aswell 150 million for exclusivity. the article even notes that paramount favored blu-ray and sold more movies on that platform but 150mi...
WTF. "60% of those don't even know they have a blu-ray player" HM??? so there are roguhly 6-7 million ps3s out right not so what your saying is about 4-5 million of them don't know they have a blu-ray player?? please i have got to know were you found this information because im pretty sure about 75-80 percent of ps3 users actually know there is a blu-ray player in there. but only about 60% actually use it for movies. please link me your information because i don't see how that can b...
...................yo momma
it's so strange that every other developer can make a game at 60fps but EA ccan't. lazy fools
it sucks seeing as i can't fly. i already live in NYC.
wow. i fail to see in the article where Mark Rein actually stated "ps3 fanboys" as you stated in your post. you're the oly fanboy i see.
basically
better graphics: LMAO
DLC: LMAO
you seem to forget the ps3 version gets mods and what does the 360 get?????
um i can easily upgrade my ps3 hard drive way past 120gb thanks to sony allowing ps3 users the option of upgrading using notebook hard drives. but i don't need to seeing as the 50 gigs on blu-ray plus the 60 i already have on my hard drive is space enough. unlike DVD-9=30 gigs + the 20 from the 360 hard drive. wow that's as much as a bluray disk. and the 120gb hard drvies aren't cheap. :p
MGS3 did the samething
"there's always downloadable content" but that's kind of hard seeing as MOST 360 user's either have 13gb of usable space or no HDD at all. i know there is the elite but not many have one compared to the premium and core SKU's. you guys have to delete something every 5 seconds. my friend has a 360 and barley has ANY space left. 13gb isn't enough.
@ cookie monster...LMAO "heavenly sword has crappy AI" that was one of the DUMBEST posts iv'e read on this website. man im still laughing man you're a fanboy seriously.
@ xeoset..you're the only fan boy i see. what the first three stated were true maybe if you took some time to actually read what they said you'd understand but you're probably too dense for that anyway.
hd-dvd has NO chance. every company seems to be making a player now. WAAHHOO.
i didn't see anything in there about what the ps3 has just what it needs
with the ps3 you don't sit at the download screen. you can select the "download in background" button which allows the game to download while you do other things such as chat, listen to music, surf the web or play a game. which is why i love my ps3 i even for get the games downloading until it pops up on my screen that it is finished. long story short...you don't have to sit there all day.
just because blu-ray knows how to draw studios and consumers all of a sudden they're in the wrong. it's like saying game developers can't make exclusive deals with sony, nintendo or microsoft. its all bs
