We spoke about this exact topic on a podcast that I led on our website, The Married Gamers (not trying to promote here). It was called Estrocast #2. We talked about women in gaming. You are correct that it is different but I think that we are seeing things differently. Men are realizing that women are here to stay and want to game.
It is amazing though how people will treat you differently when you are a woman. I have been treated differently when I first started playing. However when I started to assert myself it did change.
I think it is possible because I am the wife and these are the things that got me into gaming.
It's an article to make you think. It made you think didn't it?
