A winning formula indeed, Blizzard should be watching its back.
After reading this review I just have one question to decide whether I'll give it a shot: do we have the option of going Van Gogh and lopping off body parts while we wait for the date or putting ourselves out of this self-important misery?
My strategy to to surviving zombies to switch to Halo Reach and go Spartan on them.
Sadly I think it's bound to happen in pretty much any MMO. Hopefully this system will at least encourage a variety of builds so we're not playing the conformity game.
I wonder what the least efficient perk would be. For me I'd say scavenger, if you don't waste ammo carelessly than you'd rarely need it.
Pretty long wait on Gamefly, so going to have to agree with you on that one and probably just buy it.
Really liking this soul system, less chance of cookie-cutter templated characters running around the game.
Rift needs tour guide NPCs, they'd make my life a lot easier.
Maybe I need to quit trying to get into to the strategy games through Turn Based, Warcraft sounds more fun than Civilization. Going to have to give RTS a try.
Interesting system. Sounds like Runescape, but less convoluted.
My only objection with F2P is that they always hit you over the head without how much more fun the paying members are getting. I get the need for promotion, but do they really need to make the freeplay not worth playing by comparison?
These days I wonder if WoW Street is making more money than Wall Street. I wonder how hard it would be to create a recession within WoW...
A fresh look is right, been a while since I've seen anything Warhammer related that wasn't just a rehash of what everyone else is saying.
And cue the nostalgia. Great guide for a great game.
I like the Morrowind approach to home ownership. Find someone with a house you want, kill them. Lather, rinse and repeat.
That one got stopped in development when I threatened to sue them for plagiarizing my life-story.
I find it amazing that they can put out so many FF and DQ/DW games that are following the same template and each and every time I'm thoroughly satisfied. I guess if it isn't broken...
With all these Valve games out lately I wonder if we can expect another Orange Box type game in the near future. Great article.
Good to know, hard to tell on teh interwebs sometimes. Scary thing is, anyone under 15 or so probably wouldn't be too familiar with Aliens unless you add "vs Predator" to it.
Atmosphere yes, I'll give you that. Once they gave us melee weapons a lot of the urgency of the game left. No point in conversing ammo when a frying pan can take out everything except the tank just as easy as a magnum. The game effectively plays like a game adaption of Zombieland, but I still have to say I play it more often than the original.
The characters, I have to partially disagree. Ellis is probably the most interesting character in either game, though being comed...
First paragraph pretty much sums it up perfectly. Awesome.
