obviously you don't know much about developing and computers. The cell has its downsides as well as the 360's CPU. the cell is better for different things like number crunching applications. the 360's cpu is better for general processing due to its 3 general perpose cores. the upside to the cell is that it can render graphics along side the gpu (the RSX is actually the equivalent of an nvidia 7800 while the xbox's gpu is equivalent to the ati radeon x1900. the x1900 is more powerful so the 3...
what the devs did for this game was risky, and i am not surprised with your response to the game, however i think i'm gonna have to try this game out. If it gets good scores, its most likely a good game, so i think i'm gonna get this game! But you can't really jump into a game with a mentality like that though, just sayin. and besides, this is a murder mystery game, its not an action packed game such as GoW III or Halo 3, or uncharted2, etc.
PC version will beat the consoles at max settings no doubt. lesser loading times, higher framerates, sharper textures when at highest settings. i'll be getting it for my PC.
looking at multiple sources however, it's hard to tell which console looks better. these screenshots point towards the ps3, but the other source that i looked at (lens of truth), point towards the 360 looking sharper.
according to lens of truth, the 360 gets the higher framerate, but the ps3 gets...
^^title!^^
Yes i've played killzone 2, i am a ps3 owner, but that game gave FPS's a bad name lol. it felt more like a tech demo than anything else. anyway, i didn't find an enjoyable time playing it
Uncharted 2 won, and imo, i think it deserved it. it was a great single player game and the multiplayer aspect wasn't too bad. however, i do think batman should've totally taken that killzone 2 spot. killzone 2 had great graphics.....and nothing more. the tech behind kz was great, but the actual gameplay was lacking like none other. multiplayer took less skill than Halo or CoDs.... Uncharted was a marvelous game though, and it deserves the goty award.
not the 10/10 most sites ga...
Mag brings many new things to the table, but their are too many flaws imo to justify the purchase on my end. i bought ME2 over mag this month. for my online, i'll stick with Uncharted 2 and Halo 3 until they iron out mag's flaws.
*facepalm*
need to see the game in action on both platforms, analyze framerate, screen tearing rations, etc. then we'll know who the real winner is.
cheers!
i'll be picking this up for my pc =)
PC version is a direct port, Textures are the same, no options whatsoever for those. The only adjustable thing on the PC version is the resolution, higher quality shadows, and a higher quality bloom effect. it is lazy on bioware's part to do this, but the xbox version isn't bad at all, so the pc version isn't really suffering. plus, with my GTX 275 i'm getting a constant 60 fps at 1280*1024 (old monitor =( ). i still think getting a constant 60 beats a constant 30 any day.
eh, i've played better multiplayer being a gamer of all platforms. yes the game is great, but imo, not deserving of a perfect 10/10.
If you have a decent dual core CPU and a decent GPU such as an hd 4850 or above, you should be able to run this game fine at 60 fps at 1080p on pc. you may have to bring the aa down to 4 multisamples, but still, thats miles ahead of the consoles
lol really now? blu ray doesn't matter for pc man, do your research. i'm getting my version off steam that version has no disc whatsoever. blu ray isn't needed for pc when every game is installed and many games don't even need a disc in the disc drive to run the game. reason being we run it mostly off our HDD while consoles run it off the disc. and blu ray has nothing to do with graphics. its the cell assisting the rsx that lets killzone 2 and uncharted 2 look the way they do. blu ray just he...
ehhhh... both look pretty much the same. imo, the only difference is the fanboy
to be honest who cares? ps3 and 360 look 99.9% identical in this game. PC will be where it's at especially for a game powered by cryengine
^

but i must say, both consoles are great and amazing but PC just wins with the most customization options. i love my pc build and it cost me just over what a ps3 cost at launch and it runs games smoother and better than the ps3 or 360
although it doesn't have blu ray, for pc, when its actually needed, it will be a 20-50 dollar upgrade.
of course its all preference and i prefer PC.
peace out
although i am very interested and curious about windows 7 i don't know if i'll buy it right away. vista was a total nightmare on release and i really hope 7 won't be another vista disaster. I'll just wait and see what people say about windows 7's capabilities. hopefully DX11 will be worth it cuz DX10 sure wasn't compared to DX9. anyway, my 2 cents
peace yo!
why release a "smaller" version of a console and sell it at a higher price when you can buy the original that does the same thing for cheaper?
oh well i'll stick to PC gaming
who cares honestly...
if a developer can't make a pc game look better than the ps3 version then they must be totally retarded and i bet they don't know how to code games that well but anyway thats not the point.
i get an average of 116 fps on my pc playing this game. can your ps3 or 360 do that? probably not lol.
all there is worth sayin
it'll be about as bloody as every single zombie slice'n'dice/shootemups there are! muahahahahahaha
but i think both consoles have a great lineup in '10 so we'll just have to see who does better microsoft or sony?
too early to tell.
either way i own both so whoever wins, i win!
whoo!
