I mean, the delay is explicitly because the guy who did Trigun thought the game wasn't cool enough. I'm willing to trust Yasuhiro Nightow.
The open-world aspects definitely look good.
The voice actor didn't stalk anyone. He voiced a villainous character. That's not a crime.
Nostalgia?
You're not wrong, but sometimes you get a Crisis Core that works with the original game while fleshing out the setting. There's still some weird stuff that was clearly added later, but I will never not cry over Zack Fair.
Dirge of Cerberus has no excuse though.
That would be excellent. If any Final Fantasy could really use a chance to reimagine its plot, it's FFVIII.
Soon it'll be here.
Wish granted!
I see where you're coming from (T7 could definitely have been a lot better) but the article's main argument is that the plot of the first five games is so good it's a crime that all the adaptations have been bad. More streamlined mechanics would be nice, but which characters could you drop and not start flame wars? Everybody has their really vocal fans.
Yes.
That would be awesome.
You're absolutely correct. The point of this article is that atmosphere and proper immersion can make jump scares good, because we've spent so much time with lazy jump scares that we're in danger of forgetting how effective they can be.
Fingers crossed the new RE games remember how to actually scare players.
You had us at Sekiro!
It sure is pretty, though.
El Shaddai's getting a PC port, so that's something!
It was made by some of the same people!
It sure does!
Fingers crossed for a good buff?
Oh, for sure. There's a lot to be said for antagonists with hidden agendas. The moment you understand what a villain is about, they stop being quite so intimidating. As we learned in Resident Evil 5.
They're easy to write as cardboard cutouts or parodies of humans.
