None of the links work that you posted. And we've seen all of the pictures...The textures are definitely improved.
It's ok to be wrong..no one is right all of the time.
I have been hating on Rage since I bought it...mostly due to technical issues on the PC..but this game is quite good besides the technical issues.

Even sequels that no one wanted in the first place (L4D2) can end up being hugely successful.
In some cases, I'd agree. But honestly..MW2 and Black Ops look stunning on my PC, but then this game that's supposed to be the best looking game we've ever seen has textures that are MUCH worse than id's last game Doom 3.
It's very sad how little effort they put into the PC version of the game. I'd say it's the worst PC multiplat I've seen since the PS3 and 360 were introduced...it's honestly that bad.
It really saddens me that this game looks better than RAGE does on my $1500 PC -_-

There's not a single game that uses 3D textures if I'm not mistaken...
If you can't see the difference in the quality of textures, then you sir need corrective lenses immediately.
If you're going to get a laptop to play it on you might as well just play it on 360. Unless you're going to spend $2000 on a laptop...
The thing is, it's not like other studio's ports...it's worse. MUCH worse. I'm seriously very dissapointed.
That's not really a fair statement. Id fucked up..bad. This isn't a common thing in PC gaming. They destroyed any loyalty that PC gamers had toward them.
I have a 580 and the texture pop-in isn't bad...my issue is the low low low res. There were honestly better textures in Unreal Tournament..the ORIGINAL Unreal Tournament..

They're published by the same publisher but that is pretty much where all similarities stop.
Rage is a good game, it just has some technical issues.
Then please by all means...What other games have better mods than Bethesda games?
Bethesda, unlike many other devs, actually give the community their tools to mod their games however the community sees fit.
The only dev that is better to the modding community is Valve.
That makes me happy.
