say what you want but i'm having a blast with Sea Of Thieves right now, i share it with my PC and play local multiplayer (PC / xbox one) with family/friends at home. Thanks to the xbox play anywhere / xbox game pass / account sharing combo. Only one game or subscription needed. And it will probably be the same with State Of Decay 2. I don't think xbox gamers are bored and i don't think they will, because the lack of AAA exclusives won't last forever. Microsoft isn't stupid...
it's not too late. xbox one is a great console with great games (Forza Horizon, Halo, Quantum Break, Sunset Overdrive, Gears, Sea Of Thieves, etc ) and great features (4k backward compatiblity, Game pass, EA access, 4k blu-ray player). Right now, it's really quiet in the exclusives AAA area but i think it's the calm before the storm. 343 has not released games for almost 3 years, The Coalition for nearly 2 years. logic, PS4 Pro is $ 100 more expensive with no bundled game. It's powerfull but I keep my money for Scorpio, less than a year to wait now for true 4k gaming on console.
if you really like Sunset Overdrive freely with the game with gold, buy DLCs, Insomniac/Microsoft deserves it and maybe it will help to give us a sequel
The ratchet universe is more for the kids while Sunset Overdrive is aimed at a more adult audience with trash dialogues and multpiles references to adult themes. Both excellent but Sunset Overdrive is clearly better in my opinion

Don't be naive, the xbox one will NOT be upgradable.
Microsoft will probably make different kind of "xbox one/windows machines" in the future, with hardware becoming more and more powerful. But all this xbox will natively have a total compatibility with xbox one games. Only the graphics will be different. It's easy to imagine a 4k xbox/w10 machine, for exemple
Kinect died because Microsoft launched the xbox one without any ambitious kinect2 games to show the way and promote it . Maybe they naively thinks cotrolling xbox one with kinect will be enough? They completly failed the launch, that's the reality, it has nothing to do with casuals moving on smartphones. I'm a hardcore gamer and i really liked to have a good time with family and friends on kinect games. A smartphone game will never replace a kinect game. It's completly different....
in my opinion it's still better in coop than a lot of games in the list

Why the hell people are comparing an open world (Forza Horizon 2) with a classic Racing game (Driveclub)?
It's much harder to make an open world.
If you want to compare Forza Horizon 2 with a game, compare it with The Crew and you'll see Horizon 2 wins hands down visually. Last gen, the first Forza Horizon was the most impressive open-world-racing game in the graphics and driving area. From what we saw, FH2 will blow your mind.
