I don't see why they still can't remaster games and have backwards compatibility. I think it's a win win situation. Because remasters usually have extra features, dlc along with higher resolutions. Games that are not remastered, can still be able to play through backwards compatible. With upscale resolution.
It does not matter what version is better. I'm a Ps4 player, so I have it on ps4 and It plays well.
Mind you, ps4 owners are mad about the exposure of old ff titles now on switch and xbox. Honestly, I can careless cuz Next gen is coming and pretty sure the PS5 will get some exclusives from square.
