People already accept them, depending on what they are.
This whole "MS has a trojan horse" analogy has been around since the 90's.
I think they spend too much money to be a simple Trojan horse.
They are going at making Xbox a powerhouse brand from all angles and all approaches and from some that most people cant even wrap their heads around.
Give em credit where it is due. They are serious about games clearly. And they are now fund...
They are making games. They have spent money on hiring top talent from the industry to make some new studios from scratch as well.
They have the funds to make new games and IP's, AND to buy Studios left and right. Shocker, I know.
How do you feel when Square Enix has been doing multi plat games for like 8 years, then does exclusivity deals for Final Fantasy titles?
Do you find that distasteful? Or do you have some filter that let's you be okay with whatever distasteful things a company says or does as long as it's Sony doing it and no on else?
Just curious where you stand.
So this sound like current gen is HELPING next gen?
Not only is it working well, but it is supposed to be simple too?
I thought people said last gen tech holds back next gen?
Sound like every source they celebrate for "praising" the PS5's simple development tools, is also turning into a source that confirms how wrong people are about last gen holding back next gen.
It's either good or bad.
It's Not Mystically good wh...
But it's not just to say "on gamepass"
It's full ownership.
And being real, you and many others would probably have aneurysms if MS made all those Legendary IPs full exclusive so quit pretending you want that happen all just so you can try to have a flaw to whine about.
I played minecraft dungeons on my phone using touch controls just to test it out. It worked quite well on just 4g cell service, off of wifi. I jumped on the wifi to play Forza Horizon 4 as I recently bought the expansions for it and it ran excellently.
I have all the consoles, and will be getting both the Series X AND PS5 too.
I own 350 games on xbox platforms (this doesn't include the games I enjoy on gamepass) and own about 25 games on Playstation 4.
...
I doubt it. They want to get the new console buyers hooked on a good deal. Soonest it will go up IF it goes up I would say is more than a year from now.
Yeah more people want a good deal and good graphics in my honest opinion. At the start of the generation and for like the 1st 4 years, Playstation had the performance and price advantage locked down.
Exclusives obviously help people decide what they want as well, but far less than the performance and price factor do.
Fans of playstation pick all sorts of reasons to buy their consoles each gen.
I dont think we're talking majority here, or that most people buy to strictly play 1st party games or exclusives.
I think PS4 sold so well this gen because the perfect mix of several things. For many early adopters it was value of a decent performance advantage and a lower price that did the trick for them.
1st party games only started to really crank out after about 2 years of mostly ...
Ac Unity, although buggy is a fantastic game.
Assassin's Creed Origins and Odyssey are better than the past AC games in almost every way.
When they were pumping out yearly titles using the AC3 engine Yes, I agree with you.
Valhalla looks kinda weak in comparison to Odyssey so far from what I've seen, but Halo is a different story and faces different struggles.
I feel the game has to have that 'Halo look' to it on some level, but in my opinio...
Driveclub died.
Okay triangle. Or circle. Or cross.
Oh brother! LoL
Even if that WAS supposed to be clever or funny, (it wasn't) if Xbox fanboys truly had bigger waists, then one could argue Xbox fans spend more time playing games, and play more games as a whole.
Ha!
I reckon Xbox gamers are having a wonderful time and not giving a crap about anything but having fun.
Nice. I agree PS3 and 360's life lasted way too long. Interesting that you look forward to the enhanced PS4 games most of all so far.
So I guess with that in mind, you could definitely understand why xbox having BC is a good thing, and it makes perfect sense to me to play your existing library with performance boosts/enhancements with only the cost of the new machine.
If having older games run faster or look/perform better is enough for you to enjoy for the time being, t...
Majority of Xbox one X enhanced games are 4k.
Ps4 Pro is the weak and under-delivering on performance machine you are talking about.
I agree.
At that point, who is smarter company, business-wise? Tho one who sold some folks two consoles in 3 years cuz they want to upgrade/can afford to/got a new TV/get to enjoy all the new games and get Gamepass on the cheap, and now wanna get the more powerful version on sale etc..?
Or is it the company who sold 1 console per person (minus scalpers lol) and charged 70 bucks for 1st party games, 70 bucks for controllers, and has limited backward compatibility, does not su...
I dont think they did it short notice to curb scalpers and bots. I think it was to increase the "kaboom" in their showcase.
Kind of like when companies used to say: "and this game is available.... today!" At E3 conferences.
Excellent grammar.
It will make them tons of money if enough people subscribe this gen tho. If they were to hit 20 million subs a year than they would make More money in a year than selling 2 or 3 titles at 10 million copies each does.
If they can nail this, keep subs happy, and keep content fresh, then they will be the ones laughing all the way to the bank.
