It sure as hell seems like it, its pretty easy to lure in casual gamers. But still as Carmack said 3ds and PSP2 will be the last dedicated handhelds and i believe that as well.
It would require pretty interesting business decisions to beat apple like making it accessible and cheaper for casual people and keeping a firm hold on the core gamers as well.
