That's a valid question, though ADS might be the reason.
Now that I think about it, a Gears of War-style 3rd person ADS could have worked.

I am seriously waiting for this game to come out next week. Going to hit up the multiplayer immediately, with Hard mode (no x-ray vision) campaign run-through interspersed. CAN NOT WAIT.
Maybe they could go with two options on release? A controller with sticks and one with pads?
As long as there are good games on both systems, I don't care much about any "gaps".

I wonder how Activision is going to react to the criticism of Destiny's over-promising and under-delivering? They had the best game launch ever (especially being a new IP), made 500 million on launch day, yet the game is not the end-all-be-all. Will they double-down and have faith that Bungie will improve the current game's content and strive for an even better, feature-filled sequel, or will they not force Bungie to improve Destiny 2, knowing that it will still sell millions, in spit...
