Microsoft IS entering the portable/wireless gaming business. Its called Windows Phone 7 with Xbox Live integration. This article failed to mention that.
Microsoft is taking a breezy stance. It's whichever way the wind blows for them. If it suceeds, good, they'll go along with that. If it fails, it's whatever for them since they're not investing in promoting 3D heavily. That's a smart decision imo, since we have no clue whether people will adopt 3DTV's en masse or not.
So I wonder how much Nintendo is paying reviewers for these scores on a rehash
Das ist Gut
I think 5 of the worst things to happen to gaming are:
5. Pay to play online
4. DLC
3. Motion controls
2. Dumbing down of games i.e.Ubisoft, Nintendo
1. The Wii
360's doing pretty bad on Amazon!
Either I'm getting old, or there's barely a difference between both versions.
To my eyes the game looks exactly the same on both consoles. I don't see what fanboys are raving about.I believe that no matter what system you have you should be able to enjoy this game just fine if FF is your cup of tea.
People are acting as if the PS3 is the only system out there and everyone is gonna buy GOW3 LOL. Most Xbox 360, PC, and Wii gamers could give a crap about this game. Only Sony fans are going to eat this one up. For the rest of us there are tons of other great games to play in March, and to look forward to in the coming months
Short supply in early 2010!
I'm an Xbox 360 owner who is interested in buying a PS3 and was on the verge of doing so, but everywhere I went looking for the system had sold out of units! I ordered from Amazon, but it said it would ship in April! I immediately cancelled my order after realizing the arrival date. Sony lost a possible customer here. I've decided to just stick with the 360 and use my money on something else. What a royal f*** up on Sony's part
I don't get the hype behind this game. It's a gimped Final Fantasy with the same tired old gameplay mechanics from the 80's with a little flash added to disguise it. It has no towns, all the environments are identical, the music is low quality MIDI, and the graphics aren't even that great, honestly, on either system. Mass Effect 2 looks way better than this.
JRPG's aren't what they used to be. Games like Mass Effect, The Elder Scrolls, Dragon Age, KOTOR, Fallout, NWN, etc have s...
It doesn't matter which version looks best, fact is both are going to play horribly. Final Fantasy XIII still uses the old outdated turn-based combat mechanics that have been around for decades now. It's time for a change of pace. Real time combat is in, turn-based combat is out. Mass Effect 1 and 2, Oblivion, and Fallout 3 are better than this. Need proof? Go to Metacritic. You'll find that those games have way higher metascores than Final Fantasy XIII does so far. It can only get lower as m...
webOS, Android OS, BlackBerry OS, Symbian OS, Windows Mobile OS, Maemo OS, and even Samsung's new Bada OS are better than the iDon't.They are more open, allow for multitasking, have better email integration, and the hardware for most of these allow for battery removal and replacements, memory upgrades, and better functionality overall. The iPhone is an overpriced, overrated, overhyped feature phone with a bunch of useless apps. I'll never get why iPhone is so popular when it has the most infe...
@Dtoxz
Actually RIM is the number 1 smartphone manufacturer all across the board. The Curve series outsell the iPhone by a large margin.
Guess it's time to sell the Xbox 360 and move on to PS3 for FREE online gaming. And if Sony decides to charge to play online, then it's game over for me. I refuse to get nickel and dimed by these companies.
