@Brklynty1
They had "over a year" to port it, a game made specifically on one architecture and then ported to another, and you think they could have done it well in a year????
Thanks for showing you have no idea what you are talking about.
On track: DF shows that SE dropped the ball on the 360 port and in fact say they have seen nothing in game which could not have been done on the 360 if SE had more time and was more of a competent 360 devel...
Website discussing Sparse Virtual Textures, fanboys who don't care about facts need not click:
http://silverspaceship.com/...
Most of the people don't understand what the hell this tech even does, so why are they commenting?
The textures are streamed from the HDD and use very little RAM.
This tech has been talked about for a while, remember Carmack? He has something called MegaTexture which is nigh on the same thing and already used in games.
@ Obvious PS fanboys
Lazy developers are lazy
@raztad
Technically, Xbox has the advantage when it comes to implementing AA. So if the Xbox does not have it, or has very little, don't expect the PS3 version to have any. I hope they both have it though, even though it won't be more than 2x if you ask me.
@Lucreto
READ. THE. ARTICLE.
There are modes besides just the story which can all be played SOLO adding at least a dozen hours if not more to the game. Some of these can also be played in multiplayer, but that is not the point.
Almost everything on the disc (far more than just the story) is singleplayer, adding hours and hours to the 5 hour story
@gaffyh
If you don't care about the game or didn't like it, why are you even commenting on an article about it.
Just because you didn't like it doesn't mean there is not anyone who doesn't like it. The world doesn't revolve around you.
At least you have the possibility of buying it it you would ever want to try it, or even rent it, if it was on both consoles.
But no, instead people say it is a "bad" franchise. I don't know if it is any good because I never payed it, but just because you don't want it doesn't mean a lot of people wouldn't like to see it on PS3.
Why say no? Wouldn't a real gamer want every possible good franchise and game to come out on their system? Only a fool, fanboy, or game player (not a gamer) would no want it so.
Oh wait, I am on thw wrong site, N4G is all fanboys
@demon
I am pretty sure the hair thing is either a compression issue or a weird processing issue, I am not sure. Check the Digital FOundry article but I think it has to do with dithering, something the XBOX has an odd issue with as seen in Bad Company 2 also.
The single player campaign is 5 hours according to the review.
However, anyone who knows anything about the game (everyone except Sony fanboys) know that there are multiple other modes in the game and the review clearly states (if you actually watched it) that these modes add another 15-20 hours. Most of the modes can be done single player also, not just coop.
Anyone who is mocking this game for being 5 hours is a fanboy who didn't take their time and do any research play a...
trailers looks great (weird pick for commentator though) cant wait for the game
Good job showing you don't know what you are talking about. The FF13 issue had nothing to do with hardware limitations (RAM, GPU...) on Xbox's side, merely the fact that FF has dozens of hours of FMV that don't fit on a DVD.
The fact is, SE could have made it better for the XBOX if they are used the gigabytes of space they left free on the DVD.
I am frustrated at Heavy Rain because of all the plot holes and idiocy in it. Cage is a crap writer if I ever knew one
I will kill every last zombie in this game.
have you ever even been to gamecritics.com?
They call out all the games.
Just because you don't know what your talking about doesnt mean you need to label the people who actually do as fanboys.
At captain obvious:
Obviously you have never been to the site. They call out every single game for its faults, and also what they do best.
They destroyed Halo 3 when it came out.
You dont know what your talking about.
Download from open wifi networks at libraries or coffee shops lawl, or your government
There are hundreds of glitches in this game, in fact a glitch on most quests. Most of them are not game-breaking and rarely seen, however if you get the PC version there is an unofficial patch for almost all glitches.
@SaiyanFury
How is the site garnering hits if they are doing the comparison so fat after release? According to your logic, they should be getting very few hits since the game has only been on the shelf for a while.
Are you just criticizing them because your favorite system didn't win?
It doesn't matter when the site does the comparison if you ask me. Not everyone buys a game on release date like whiny fanboys and game players who have their parents buy g...
