Well, if it was a 360 release, people would obviously be saying the game must be bad (see days leading up to Fable 3 release), but now it must be because of multiplayer, which is a weak excuse because most legitimate studios set up servers for reviewers to play on.

Everyone who is shitting on the article should note it is written from the perspective of a cinephile, not the average user. These people want the highest possible visual/audio experience when watching the most demanding, state-of-the-art movies.
They don't care about your stupid flame wars, they are merely evaluating the PS3 as a 3D HD movie machine, where is has some faults, according to them, which keep it from being their number one choice.
Most of the so-called contrast differences are probably due to the day-night cycle in the game.
Credit to the developers for making a game that looks gorgeous, performs even better, and actually integrates some incredible new features (Autolog anybody?)!

I would disagree because all the games you cited as having received 9's have actually been released, GT5 has not, so thus you cannot possibly come to a conclusion as to whether or not is deserves a 9 or whatever other arbitrary score.
Also, you falsely assume there is an objective scale by which to measure a game against another. There isn't; ratings are pure opinion.
One more thing: is the same reviewer reviewing all these games? If not, there is no...

By the way, Gran Turismo 5 has not even been released. It could be GOTY, or even the best game ever made, but for the consumer (i.e. you) it isn't out yet, so effectively it does not even exist.
