yeeeaaaaaaaah!
The only FF remakes I would really want are V, VI, and IX. IV was one of em, but we already have two remakes of that....
Oh how I wish I could be in charge of the project. I would say things like "Yes, today I can confirm that grass is confirmed to make an appearance in Versus XIII" or "Clothes will play a major role in preventing characters from being nude in Versus XIII"
Final Fantasy XIV 2.0 and Versus XIII will play a huge role in whether the series can stay afloat or not. Versus XIII because people have been hyping that game to no end since it was announced. XIV because it failed to impress the general population at launch, but is being completely overhauled to bring it up to par....and the end result will show fans just how much SE cares about FF.
NO! I will admit that I enjoyed XIII and thought XIII-2 was even better, but c'mon! Enough is enough. Either make a new FF game that can outdo the previous ones, make a sequel to a FF game fans love, or just remake an older game.
I think you're looking too deeply into this.
...........
Not the actual story because it sucked...but when I first got the game at launch (my first "next gen experience"), the moment I walked out of the first area and out to the open was just so unforgettable.
I would say:
Final Fantasy X
Oblivion
Metal Gear Solid 4
God of War III
Final Fantasy VI
Yeah, I actually did enjoy XIII-2. That was a step in the right direction, imo. XIV is being rebuilt and 2.0 looks like it will be really good. I just hope SE keeps heading in the right direction.
As long as the games are good, I don't care who makes it. If I read this news years ago, I would have been disappointed, but SE has been nothing but disappointing lately. The only time I look forward to one of their games is when they remake a classic(IV DS/PSP and Dimensions on iOS/Android...it's classic-ish) or offer fan service (dissidia). When it comes to new games and sequels to old games, they have been doing a horrible job.
"Your argument is invalid. If you DON'T click the article in N4G, you have a headline like "BioWare officially confirms that Shepard is alive in the..." . Alive in what?"
Actually, it shows the entire title on my screen without even clicking on it. Which is why I clicked on it to reply to the article in the first place. It was a stupid decision to include spoilers in the title. You can't assume everybody on the site has beaten ME3 or just don't...
I couldn't care less how you feel about it. I work and go to school. My day starts at 5:30am and ends at 7:30pm. I eat, do homework, shower, then go to sleep. On weekends I barely have enough time to sit and play a game. People have lives, kid.
Yeah, I should put school, work, and other priorities on the side to make sure I play all of the latest games. Let's not blame the rookie journalist for putting a spoiler on the title of an article.
I'm sure they did that because the Wii has a larger fanbase. Still...I think it would have done better on the PS3, but what do I know?
Thanks for the spoilers, idiots.
I'm sure he means it every time he says it. He just finds it hard to hand over the series to somebody and expect them to create a game on the same level as the previous MGS games.
Activision isn't so bad. People keep buying CoD.....what are they supposed to do? Stop working on the franchise? Same with Nintendn; if people keep buying it, then why stop working on it?
I just hope they plan on supporting XIV just as much.
That was fast. I guess they are going to stick with streamlining the series and killing it. Good ole EA.
