It's being compared to Halo Wars because it's a Halo game. Anything with Halo in it's name is extremely hyped.

Sure sales might continue to do crap, but the RPGs are great. Hah, I bought a 360 last week and I'm overloaded with RPG games right now...Sales might have more to do with Blu ray overcoming DVD in Japan. Plus the Japanese have such amazing PS3 games...White Knight Chronicles, Cross Edge (X-Edge), Yakuza 3, Demon's Soul, and several others.
It also sold 370,000 in Australia. Halo Wars sold around 174,000 over there.
Blu ray has taken over DVD in Japan and has sold extremely well, here in the US.
Where's the proof?
I really don't care about the developers enough to waste extra money on them. Sure a certain game might be amazing and promise me hundreds of hours of enjoyment, but if I can buy their game at a cheaper price and buy lunch with the money I saved, I'm all for it.

Capcom stated last year that 2009 will be the year of multiplatforms for them. This isn't an exclusive....still, I'm getting the 360 version =X
With MGS4 and Microsoft said the same thing. It's like whenever they try to surpass that benchmark, Sony slaps another game on the table and it forces Microsoft to go back to the drawing board and produce something better.
Screw that! Visuals don't matter, all that matters is gameplay. A game can look as pretty as it wants, but if it has boring gameplay it won't sell and it won't help developers gain the money they lost in trying to create it.
I love my 360 and PS3. They both have their pros and cons and are equal in terms of enjoyment. However, as much as I hate to admit on a gaming site, the PS3 produces better visuals than the 360. Gears of War looks great, but when comparing it to something like MGS4...it's night and day.
Skin textures are done horribly and most of the designs on the characters are all texture on flat surfaces and not actual 3D designs. And no, I don't hate Gears of War to be saying that, It's act...
They're practically admitting that Killzone 2 looks better than anything on the 360? Maybe this will shut up those fanboys, lol.
I have both a PS3 and 360, but I prefer my PS3. Timed exclusives are great though since Sony has a 4 month mark. Meaning, if it takes longer than 4 months to port, it must include extra content. So in the end, the PS3 is getting the superior version.
The first one sold horribly on the PS3....anyway, I can't wait to get my hands on this game. The first one was amazing.
It's like I stated on my first comment. They got their asses chewed for the horrible translation of Ar Tonelico 2 (thanks,kazuma for reminding me of the name, lol). They're basically going to translate the game, look over it again and again to make sure there are no typos or bugs within the US version. Also, to make up for that mistake that was Ar Tonelico 2, they're adding trophy support.....dammit, Disgaea 3 needs trophy support as well >_>
I only pre-order when I have a lot of extra money with me. I pay the whole thing off right then and there. Not to reserve my copy, but because I won't have to pay for it when I come pick it up. I also don't have to worry about not being able to afford it for some reason on release day.
In general, kids wouldn't be able to do what that kid did. So this commercial is sort of...full of it.
I remember, I believe it was Insomniac games, who said that a trophy patch would not take longer than a week if the developer is dedicated to it. NIS America is taking 2 months to add the patch? What a lazy bunch.
However, the delay might have more to do with them getting their ass chewed by NIS HQ in Japan because of the last game that came out who's name always escapes my tongue. The translation was so horrible (not to mention bug infested), that they were scolded for it and e...
Even IF Metal Gear Solid 4 goes to the 360, so what? There are still about 30+ PS3 exclusives coming in 2009 (not even counting PSN games). I love my 360, but even I can admit that 2009 just isn't the year for the 360. It's lost it's mojo, lol.
