Still have a bunch of PS4 games I haven't finished yet but was actually playing this again yesterday, there's something special about going back to consoles launch titles back when they didn't know what the systems were capable of.
Video games were better back in the day when things like this were just rumours and not plastered all over the internet.
If the article said it was free for Ps3 & Ps4 I would've said the same thing about PS Plus, Games with Gold and PS Monthly Games are parts of the service you pay for and have been so for years. Don't pretend this is a console war thing

I still have over 100 ps3 games and I haven't beaten all of them yet. No way I'm selling my ps3 even though I have a PS4 now as well
Throw them in the trash? Everyone knows the PS4 isn't backwards compatible so you might as well trade all your ps3 games with the console
Probably the fact that not EVERY game is backwards compatible yet, they have to add titles individually. If every 360 game could be played on Xbox One via BC then no one would be calling it half assed
Given the PS3's architecture, it would be easier for the PS4 to emulate 360 games
