its all about what we, the gamers wanted to have in the 360 so MS did all those upgrades. You can still buy the 20GB 360 if you want it, RROD is not even a problem anymore(not by the means it was before)So yes the console is great.
And again HD-DVD is a addon to 360 nothing we need to play all those great game with online-function and that looks better on 360 compared to PS3 :D
