this wont be true. the ps3 has not been out long enough. it would cost more to set up a new machine, and retool the plants. they want to make a profit, so ditching the original design would be silly
You may find this crazy but so far the MGO beta is a success, it is doing what it is ment to do, and that is find flaws and issues within the game and the systems it uses.
This is the way it works with a beta, ive been in a few, and this is what you have to expect and accept. Its a beta, if it was flawless, they wouldnt be having a beta and it would be a full release.
a $2 HDMI cable is the same as a monster one costing $100. its digital, it either works or it wont, there is no inbetween. Be careful what sales reps tell you as they will always paint there product in the best possible light.
oh and no, the original xbox controllers were deemed too big for kids and small handed adults, they were replaced for those reason, not becuase the original were a stop-gap measure.

because the xbox360 isnt compatable. your computer is, not the 360.
e.g i cant buy a 360, plug it into the net and watch iplayer. i need to have a computer and a network set up to stream the vids to the 360......that isnt compatable.....

shame for the guy, but as someone has said, thats the way warrenties work. he has had for over a year therefor its out of warrenty. he could try the sale of goods act tho (or what ever his country has) as i would expect a games console is ment to last longer than a year....
was this "QUIT RM AND TURN OFF/LEAVE ON" stuff not already possible? if you wanted the ps3 left on you just quit remote play, if you wanted it turned off, you chose the turn off ps3 option.....or am i missing somthing?
edit: oh maybe its to do with the remote play screen you get after you quit remote play? maybe it goes back to the xmb instead of the "press the ps button" screen?
im a big fan of firmware. love seeing the update your system screen, and waiting for the new free stuff sony has got my ps3 to do.
installing on the HD is a bit annoying, but there isnt many games that ask for it. i dont mind if it can be played from the HD tho, GT and teken i loves you!! no getting up from my seat for me!!
they also thought of the car in 1734 1st but decided that petrol was too scarce so canned it.

psp as a remote will be fantastic. thats worth the price of a psp alone. i wonder if the sound will come out of the psp's speakers too? probably not but that would be the icing on this cake
looks like a great update.
i agree that people should do research but calling it "capable" is just misleading. The computers called "vista capable" arnt capable of running vista. simple.
not now. no series link? cant record 2 channels at once? no HD support? whats the point? might as well buy a cheapo HDD freeview box........or as im now gonna do, get a freesat box.
If this was available at launch then maybe, but its lacking in major features, turning it from a great idea, into somthing a little lame and useless.
