Lombax was explicitly stating that he hated the staggered sticks, and that was specifically talking about. Not the D-Pad, or Triggers.
OMG! The stick is moved 2 inches up! Our hands must be asymmetrical right? Cause you know, the thumb can't move at all right?
He's ignorant because he's hating on a slight difference in placement, and saying people must have asymmetrical hands if they like it. It's fine if you merely prefer to have them symmetr...
@darkpower: LOL. Dude, it's not my opinion that a keyboard and mouse is better for FPS's. IT IS A WELL KNOWN FREAKING FACT. The mouse gives more precise and quick control over you're aim. And is one of the reasons games don't do cross-platform servers. Did you not see that recent article about it where the PC gamers completely floored the console gamers? I can't remember which game it was for though. But the company said they decided not to do cross-platform servers after ...
"Speak for yourself, and only yourself. I've been able to have extended gameplay sessions with the DS3 without any discomfort at all. But like I said above, my hands are symmetrical, not asymmetrical as is the design of the 360 controller."
And what exactly is extended for you? 6 hours? 10 hours? How did your hands feel after 14 hours of FPS play?
And it has nothing to do with hand symmetry <_<, stop acting immature with that. The shape of...
A) I didn't claim what the average size of a hand is..Merely that the controller is shaped for the average hand (conformed). (Although I know Microsoft has done tons of research on average hand sizes, especially with all the data they have from designing computer mice and keyboards.)
B) I didn't claim the 360 controller to be the preferred controller of people.
I'm being fanboyish in my post? How so? I've not ...
Your missing the whole reason this is good. Tessellation. Sure displacement mapping has been done before and most game studios have in house code for it. But GPU accelerated Tessellation isn't something any developers use. The first real games to utilize it are a few on the Xbox 360, which has an ATI GPU which supports some basic tessellation. As do all Radeon HD2000 and up GPU's.
Tessellation allows for much more detailed displacement. It creates a much higher polygon model, wit...
Notice how the 3D models in the DX9/10 images are all flat and whatnot? Now notice how the DX11 models have amazing detail and physical depth?
That's the difference. With DX11 you can increase the detail of the models and displace it using displacement maps to add very fine details, and also huge changes like the tiles on the roof.
Everything in the DX11 screenshot is using the exact same 3D model as the other screenshots. They are merely being tessellated an...
Yes it takes a good amount of processing power. Hence the reason Natal has it's own processor. But at the same time, it doesn't take that much to map a depth value to each pixel, due to the way the system works.
"The Depth information is captured by emitting pulses of infra-red light to all objects in the scene and sensing the reflected light from the surface of each object. All objects in the scene are then arranged in layers according to the distance information sensed by ...
1.) I wasn't talking about your whole arm like when your scratching your ass or something. Just from the elbow down turned sideways behind your back. But I was oversimplifying, I know how Natal works and it's skeleton system. So let's say you do the whole arm anyways. Well the system is going to have a fairly good guess where your arm is based on how much is exposed from your shoulder and down the side. But not of the lower part of your arm of course. And if your turn...
See, this shows you guys don't understand exactly how Natal works.
It very accurately collects the depth of something in the view of each pixel. The system maps a skeleton with appropriate joints to your body. So let's say you cross your arms. Well one wrist/arm is going to be a little closer in depth than the other, and thus the virtual skeleton will have that arm laying over the other one in it's appropriate 3D space. That's the same reason why it can discern between you and a ...
Again, that's not the point I was talking about. I'm talking specifically about the motion tracking side of things. Any controller can be used in conjunction with Natal due to the way it works. So it's irrelevant, and at the same time another plus for Natal. Since it doesn't need custom controllers to track the controller, you can use any brand/type ya want :).
Also, to judge perfection, you need something to compare to. But we only know of our universe, so there is nothing to compare to.
And I didn't state where all the matter came from. I was merely talking about how creatures on this planet came to be. Which is proven to be Evolution. Perhaps there was no start. Perhaps Matter/Energy has always existed. The big bang merely being the result of a gravitational col...
Uhh no. Why would don't be gay be there also? Being gay can be genetic or environmental. There are gay and bisexual animals. This has been documented on numerous occasions. And for environmental, a person can become attracted to the same sex depending on how life's variables effected that persons preferences as he/she was growing up.
Yes, the majority imposes their values. The majority are also stupid and poorly educated. True intelligence is a minority.
Little kid? haha. Oh yeah, I am such a little kid, what with my loans I have to pay off, my car, my job and my own house. Get real, KID. Usually the ones who makes those claims are kids themselves, using that as cover to make people think they are talking to a mature adult. But the way you talk sure doesn't make you seem like one.
Kid's don't need to see sex to know they want to have it. There are these things called hormones.... You see, kids get them when they hit puberty. And ...
When it comes to hardware, pretty much anything made in the past 8 years lol. Software wise, most things should still work. If not, you right click>properties, then Compatibility tab up top, and change it to Windows XP compatibility. And it should run the program then.
Peoples morals are generally based on the experiences they had as they were growing up. If you can supply everyone with a good childhood, than most very bad behavior is eliminated. This is one of the goals of The Venus Project. In today's society there are to many worries. To many things that can screw a persons life over.
If you go to a place like Norway and look at their statistics and how they run things. You'll see a pretty good example of how a society should be run. Although t...
@Aikuchi: A few little corrections on what you said.
1.) Humans aren't the only animal on this planet with a boneless penis...
2.) Women do go into "heat" actually. It's called Ovulation.
3.) It's not that animals can only have sex when their in heat. It's just the preferred time because it's when a female is most likely to become pregnant. And dogs for example can smell when a female is in heat.
You don't need to upgrade a PC just like you say you don't need to buy a new Mac. It's choice.
Give me a reason why I would HAVE to upgrade my hardware? A PC user can stick with XP if they feel like it, just like you can stick with your OS X. There's no law saying you have to upgrade when a new Microsoft OS comes out with PC's haha.
PC user's merely have much more freedom of choice in this area. Your trying to bash PC's for some...
