Yeah, it seems likely. As expansive as the books are, there's still room for some fairly related side stories that might even explain a few things here and there of the main plot.

I'm curious as to what kind of improvements we can expect on PS4. 1080P@60 seems a given, but will they actually increase the number of zombies on screen, add new effects, etc.?
I hope so. Sony has a proven roster of first party, unlike Microsoft except for a couple studios. We'll see.

Obviously, Zuckerberg highlighted the OTHER potential uses of VR - the gaming focus of Oculus VR was already known.
As Luckey said, gaming will lead the VR charge, but much more can and will be done.
