He came off really condescending to the devs which rubbed me the wrong way. I thought it was pretty disrespectful.
I would say the one show that I think is entertaining is the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards. I say this because the producers understand exactly the audience they are reaching and cater the programming to them.
The problem with the VGX's is that they are trying to both figure out what gamers want while trying to give us what they believe we are asking for based on the demographics of the majority of the group. This is killing the show IMO
Lastly, can I h...
There weren't many, I think the pre-show hype is really what got people excited especially since the next-gen shine is wearing off a little. The lack of games right out the box makes people want something to look forward to. They didn't really bring anything crazy to the table.
I think this might help with some clarification, although it's still kinda crappy

From the way it looks the game will turn your VC into SP (which is a sloppy way to do everything) and turns your career into a offline one. Once you do this you would have to restart your online career to use VC again it seems.

From later on in the thread some folks say that this isn't true, quote.
"EDIT:
It seems the game goes into a huge Authentication loop with the 2K Servers which can take several minutes. This shows the LeBron flash screen while it's happening. The game will start up OFFLINE after it has processed it's Auth Loop and timed out.
Game modes will be limited, but you CAN play offline."
I hope they author fixes ...
That's actually a really great point. Do you remember that Del Toro game that was supposed to come out? It seems like gamers have given up on the hype train mentality when it comes to the show.
Thanks for checking out the article.
X-tra bad?
Honestly I think they got caught in the next gen mix and are not getting the shine they deserve. I would add Hotel Miami (feels great on the Vita) Dragon's Crown, Soul Sacrifice, Guacamelee too.
I'm partial because I wrote the review but honestly I think the game is great. People talk a lot about innovation and I think this game has it in spades.
Thanks, I try :)
I really hope folks get the chance to play it, I feel bad that it landed in the middle of all the Next-Gen hype because I think it might get looked over and that would be a real shame.
Thanks for reading the review, I really loved this game. It feels like Media Molecule really came into it knowing exactly how they wanted to mesh the Vita's features with the gamestyle. It's beautiful and whimsical and really shows off what the Vita can do.
Sorry I thought you meant the laptop GPU's
I'm supposing the GPU's can't deal with the bandwidth.
Honestly the lack of any real performance hit is what really makes me like it. Mind you I run lots of games off a 3.0 external drive and still it runs smooth.
I actually would like to have seen if North could pull off the role of Joel, that would have really been interesting.
Thanks for the feedback, yes I agree that North made the character his own and embodies it. Do you think North has the range to help bring across a better effort in the next game or was the third game just a bad mix of writing and performance?
Ha, I made sure I didn't even go near that in the story although I think Hayter should have stayed on in the role.
I'm intrigued to see how everything works in person, I've heard everything second hand and haven't had the chance to play it. I want to try the new Kinect and since I didn't have the first one I won't have that baggage.
I'm curious were you a fan of the Windows 8 Metro UI before you got your X1?
