You "journalists" do realize that most gaming controllers today are based on PS1 analog controller right? All of xbox controllers (and even the gamecube) button layout were heavily based on PS1 analog controller.
Remember Agnis Philosophy? That was running on a base PS4 but the PS4 never produced in-game visuals of that caliber. These tech-demos show what the console is capable of, but not how the in-game visuals will be. I truly hope next-gen visuals can be like this, but I'm highly doubtful.
