I think DriveClub is more comparable to Forza 5. because both are track races and both are simArcade racers.

Overall! Mario Karts 8 is the king of races! better metacritic score and probably better sales.
As for me, I like Driveclub! Because of track design, APEX and of course the realistic graphics and sense of speed. In DriveClub you really need to brake and time your corners right to get a better laptime.
