$15 for a freaking map pack!? Screw you Activision. Screw you.
It still doesn't detract the fact that the Final Fantasy series isn't and never was truly a "Playstation franchise".
So you're agreeing that Square making the jump to the Playstation 1 was okay because it brought on a wider audience and more money for Square? In that case it should be okay that the Xbox 360 was brought into the picture because it is bringing in more fans and money for Square.
I'm assuming these are same Final Fantasy fans who boo'd when Final Fantasy VII was released on the PS1?
Yes, poor Final Fantasy fans who now have a choice of which console they would like to play one of their favorite series on. The horror of it all.
Gee, just like when Square sold out to the Playstation when they left Nintendo behind?
Except for the whole fact that this is an article with the author's opinion on the matter.
I seem to recall that Final Fantasy is a multi-platform franchise (NES, SNES, Game Boy, Wii, PS2, Xbox 360, PS3, PC, etc).
@Blaze929:
I'm hoping that's sarcasm because that's a crock.
One "friend" of mine plays his PS3 on an SDTV and has an ancient eMachine.
Another at least used to have an HDTV until it got repoed and has a laptop that is by no means a gaming platform.
ROFLMAO this is the news posting of the day!
They said the same thing after releasing one of the last few Halo 3 map packs. Then they said it again about ODST. Now they're saying it about Halo: Reach.
Bungie will always be stuck with Halo at this rate.
I'm definitely a little disappointed with this announcement considering all the hype behind it.
@cayal
The people who are going to download this likely weren't going to be buying it to begin with so your point is rather moot.
itzlupo did come forward and admit that he was a lying douchebag.
How is reporting that the game has been leaked via pirates promoting piracy? That's like saying news media is promoting drinking and driving whenever they issue a story about a drunk driving related accident.
I had thought I had made the mention of her Spider-Man role in the past tense but apparently that slipped my mind.

The problem is that most people are too stupid or ignorant to realize that even just paying for these things is ridiculous. It because of these people that companies continue to push out paid DLC.
I understand that game development has become increasingly expensive but a developer/publisher should still respect their customers. I would be much happier to only pay $5 and $10 would be the most I would cough up if the map pack was any decent but there's no way in hell I'm going ...
