This right here, is what is wrong with gamers today. All they want is the action without having to do anything to get to it. How is that even interesting remotely?
I would rather have objectives I take with my team and see the enemy coming from miles away so I can prepare for a fight instead of spawn, die, spawn, walk three steps, die, rinse repeat for 20 minutes.
This article's only proof is preorders through GAMESTOP. How about all the people who have ordered it through Amazon or buy it from Best Buy or *gasp* they own a PC and bought it off Origins.
Consoles arn't the only sales games get. Don't forget about digital distribution.
The only time I buy a game from Gamestop is if I want it now and I can't get it anywhere else.
I believe that the game will be buy and then play. I don't see them introducing a subscription based pricing model for this, especially if it is going to Xbox and PlayStation.
If it was just a PC game, I might be inclined to agree with you all.
Plus with them now having to compete with GTA Online (once they have all the issues ironed out) I don't see them adding that time of payment model either.
The people saying that BF4 doesn't have much more to offer than BF3 need to open their eyes, do some research and stop saying crap without actually having the information to back their claims up.

Fully agree soviet. This was my main issue with BF3. The voip in BF2 made it what it was, to this day. A great teamplay focused game. I feel like they have taken large steps to improving that and bringing it closer to that teamplay feel again.

5 years or so ago, there was a huge boom in console games and quality NEW PC games seemed to be few and far between.
Then indies hit the scene, Unreal engine was released publicly a year later and we have seen the effects of that when we look at all the quality free games that have been released since then.
Not to mention the revolutionary development of the Frostbite engine that helped spur the success of the Bad Company series and Battlefield games we see ...
I think I speak for the entire PC Gaming Master Race when I say: Come join the dark side, we have cookies....and 1080p.
