Xbox One's resolution issue not coming from it's GPU or CPU power.It is coming from the deferred game engines and the devs do not want to spend their time to update.PS4 is not the stronger machine it's GPU 14+4(GPGPU).If you do not believe me go check what Cerny said and the documents captured from devs.Polyphony looking for employee,developing physics GPGPU based=).It is averagely the same with Xbox's GPU.X1 GPU is GCN 1.1 PS4 GPU GCN 1.0.Time to wake up.
