Yesterday i got my platinum on Heavy Rain meaning i saw the 18 Epilogues (among other stuff hehe) :)
Ok now the GoWIII is "Teh Dommedz" childish "gaming" journalism start. Same as any PS3 game: Heavy Rain "Teh Doomedz" , Uncharted2 "Teh Doomedz" MGS4 "teh Doomedz", and PS3 "teh Doomedz".
It was annoying long time ago now the bias is so obvious that is not even funny ... i see these "teh doomedz" childish articles and can't help but to think that these "journalists" are too juvenile or too young for not...

Err there is a continue option , a continue from x chapter option, from x save file option, a play x chapter option including saving or not.
I believe you missed them i am just unlocking my last 3 endings (to get the platinum) so believe me i know lol

Noone died on my playtrough! i took a lot of care of all of them! :)
And yes the ending is pretty stressing (in a very nice way) and fun.
