@Thepcz Well you have two other options...Xbox and PS. Why are people bitching about Wii U not being "grown up enough"? DONT PLAY NINTENDO if you feel you are too mature for its games. You have other options.
Nintendo's core fan base are the family unit. Why would they cater their games to a grown-ass man? They got a solid, loyal 25 to 30 years out of us gamers who stuck around since the 80's. They will get another solid 25-30 years from the next generation. Everyone needs to stop crying.

Yeah i love when people compare gaming to movies. The movie industry has its flaws but it is capable of displaying a far greater level of maturity than the gaming industry will ever know. Why? because they use human beings not polygons. At the end of the day games are just games. Its not a bad thing but people should embrace that more. Stop trying to be gritty and mature with every title. Games were meant for fun. Blowing peoples heads off isnt all that fun.
As long as the fans continue to support Ninteno they wont be going anywhere.

Just wait until Devs (mainly Nintendo) really get a grasp on the Wii U hardware. Not saying it will match or exceed PS4 or anything but i believe the games on Wii U will look good enough that you wont see that huge of a difference between Wii U and PS4. Do you see that Huge of a difference between ps4 and ps3?

think about these games then...Journey, Bastion, minecraft,walking dead. i guess we should find a name other than "indie" cause there are established studios that are very very small that benefit from something like kickstarter

Nintendo does have more than enough money do go all out on a console its just they dont see the need to. If the additional features dont directly influence gameplay then Nintendo doesnt seem to think they are important. Dvd/Blu ray movie players as example. I was talking about them sticking with cartridge and low ram for the N64 and using a 1.5 gig custom mini dvd for gamecube. Things would have been alot different if they had a standard storage medium with those two consoles.
problem is even when they do go "all out" (n64 and gamecube) they still DONT go all out. They almost always lack features. The Super Nes was the only time they made a perfectly balanced machine.
Nintendo fails...its their own fault. Period.
