It's too bad because there are good software for the Vita, but Sony almost never gives them the marketing push they deserve. Assassin's Creed Liberation and Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time to be specific. Both games released with almost no marketing behind them.
For now it is subscription-based. However, it may change to free-to-play given that other popular MMORPG's have gone that route (LOTR Online, DC Universe Online, etc...)

However, even Sony has said that they're having a lot of difficulties getting Vita third-party support right now. Utilizing their back-catalog of downloadable titles would be a smart move for the company to boost sales or at the very least keep people interested in the handheld before AC Liberation, COD:Black Ops 2, and other AAA games arrive.

Agreed, Tactical Strike would probably work great on the Vita. Hey if Slant Six makes TAC STRIKE, they'll probably make FTB's as well. Here's hoping.
It's still a very rare occurence for NA gamers to convince a Japanese publisher to actually risk financial loss to appease their fans. Here's hoping SEGA reconsiders and begins Shenmue III development soon. Yu Suzuki sure deserves it.

As much as I loved Infamous 2, I'd have to agree with you. Prototype just gave more action and more game for my buck.
Oh I forgot to add high-quality Xbox Live Arcade Games. Shadow Complex, Bastion, Toy Soldiers: Cold War, Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet, and Ms. Splosion Man. Cheap prices, but offer amazing, addictive gameplay for those who don't have time for big budget, expensive AAA titles.
@despair - It's true though that most single-player gamers tend to lean towards the PS3 because of it's relative lack of community (Outside of PlayStation Home).

I couldn't have said it any better. Far Cry 3 tried to convey that but it got lost somewhere after the fight with Vaas. Hotline Miami's violence leaves you with an unsettled feeling even after you've seen your high score.
