If you read the article, the writer basically said that the GOTY is whatever YOU want it to be. They laid out all of their picks and the writer told you his pick as well. It's not THE SG pick, because there's no such thing as a SG pick, just individual picks for individual gamers.

The multiplatform games, by in large, perform worse and look worse than the 360. Resistance 2's single player sucks. Blu-Ray ain't performing that well because of digital distribution and LBP isn't getting as much support from Sony as it was promised...
there was a ton of press about how this year was going to be THE YEAR for the PS3. It just hasn't turned out that way. I think it's a legit editorial on the state of the PS3.
