...is to never buy one 360, there's better options on the market.
download is now at 76%,
at this speed in one hour I will tell if that's a game we should put in your "Buy List".
I use one Sony Bravia 32" LCD running 1080i (max) and game swaps to 720 when starts, and slowdowns are there and I use the settings bellow to reduce slowdowns by 90% (at least). So they are just moving gamers eyes to other field, instead this PR release, they should just limit words to "we are fixing our errors".
To help reducing PES slowdowns on PS3, do this:
1) Run "Install" option under "System Settings"
2) Turn OFF Co...
This is just a rumour as GT5 Prologue is annouced to be released ONLY in Japan (December 2007) and Europe (March 2008), not being released at all for US, strange but is what they announced.
But if it will be released (if that happens) should be in March 2008 as europe launch.
And final version, GT5 game, will be launched near Christmas 2008 only.
To get slowdowns disappear, just do this:
1) Install the game on PS3 trough "Install" on "System Settings"
2) Turn Commentaries OFF
3) Turn BGM Music OFF (0%)
4) Stadium Effects OFF
and then play again, you will see surprise.
It was tested on 3 PS3's, two europeans and one USA, both 60 GB models. No slowdowns at all, even playing under rain or crowded box, runs smooth like replays.

I'm in europe and didn't got any problems with the update, it runs fine.
...when Polyphony Digital build a F1 game with the GT5 engine.
Then we talk about it again.
I played both demos, PS3 and 360 versions, PS3 demo released yesterday is better than 360 demo, seems they fixed the demo about the slowdowns, and PS3 full version soon will get the patch from Konami. Till then, for PS3 players, it's good to get game installed in HD and then turn OFF the Commentaries and BMG music, that will get problem "fixed" till update out.
The SAVE DATA (Option File) in PS3 also runs well in others machines, no lock of any kind.

I own PES 2008 for PS3 and the game runs smoot even with the slowdowns that only appears sometimes when we play under rain and box is crowded, and even that issue don't affect the gameplay. Game is awsome.
As Konami already inform they are working on the fix for off-line and on-line modes on PS3, we just need to wait till the update is ready, meanwhile we keep playing, where's the problem ?
I'm running PES on SONY LCD 32" BRAVIA (HD) and the game shows some slowdowns, problem shows up more when we play under rain or crowded box.
Anyway, till Konami release the fix, everyone should go to "System Settings" and run "Install" to move about 1.9 GB data from game disk to PS3 HD, that will help to speed up and avoid some annoying frames.
But, the issues with frame rates aren't damaging gameplay at all, game and gameplay still are ...
...so Konami should gave more attention to ps3 version and fix that issues off and on-line.
Let them work on the bugs and wait for better news.
... but PES on-line service will be up only tomorrow 26 when game launches, not before :) so all this article isn't serious.
knowing it don't bring "damages" to gameplay is all we always dream.
Did you install the game on PS3 hard disk drive ? As seems there's option for that and maybe could help to avoid some issues.
Regards,
the videos don't run unless we keep pressing the play button every 2 seconds, and videos are from 360 version only.
The demo shows a bad arcade game with pretty paints and landscapes, gameplay is far from fun.
the "ranked" game option in filter is very usefull indeed.
and already ridiculous the number of articles trying to compare both games, when they are following diferent paths, EA money was used to buy licenses building a large database, nothing else, while Konami spend it year after year in the game itself.
..and then check again that charts.
... I liked this game when the "delete" option was executed over the demo I had on my 360.
the question should be:
Is anyone with brains in this planet Earth who don't choose PS3 ?
and Fifa 08 isn't better than PES 2008 on gameplay, and gameplay is all gamers want.
Even with the initial PES 2008 issues about off-line and on-line lag, we are now in new age where patches can be deployed after game release for the next-gen consoles, so gamers will receive what was expected.
I played also football (in real life) for 10 years and I can say PES 08 is still the best game, not perfect at all, but improved from PES 6 and next PES 2009 promises much ...
