I'm hoping this will be good. can't wait for it myself, but i dont have a ps3, so i have to wait.
they should make FIOS standard these days. hehe.
i agree that doa has precision in itself, but online most of those are thrown out of the game. even the doa community wouldn't really recognize if you're a good player online. only few that i have seen got respect for being good online. mostly the prefer offline and don't want anything to do with online. though online is a good place to go practice with other people and learn some stuff, which is why i think most or all fighting games should have online just for the casual side.
japan has lines that are about 100mbit everywhere which probably wouldn't produce lag or not as much lag. unlike here in the states and maybe other places where we are barely hitting 10mbit down/2mbit up.
there is like one that rooftop race that does exactly what the two achievements are, with no other checkpoints. i think the other ones require other checkpoints.
hehe not bad, i never thought about that.
i know throw escaping is pretty simple but the escape window would be near impossible to break for the game being online. about moves being punishable and all, i've been in games where i blocked low attacks and do while rising moves and have them block it, or they throw out a big move that would be unsafe and i couldn't punish them at all. in tekken, moves like pauls deathfist would probably be safe online. imagine all paul players playing online throwing out deathfist all day to no conseq...
all grabs in VF and Tekken series are escapable. Lag would ruin the escape window and probably make them really hard to break. DOA also seems to have bigger windows for certain things, but not so much in Tekken or VF5. Even in DOA4, if someone does a move that is punishable offline, it would be safe online. The game would then be throwing out all those punishable moves all day and no one can really do anything about it. It would be good to have an online for casual play but that isn't a ...
Blue Dragon just in time for my bday. that will be great. lost odyssey on same day as japan release is good too. can't wait.
hehe, downloading it right now. 1gb file. it's huge!
free episode? why not. and south park too. can't wait to get this and check it out.
those servers don't really have to be shutdown. they could be used for future games. like if resistance 2 comes around, they'll just make it for that game.
killer instinct would be cool to see on VC or XBLA with online versus.
they shouldn't looked better than vf5. it was never to be a next gen title. just a optimized for ps3 arcade port and the arcade board was based off of ps2 technology. still looks good in HD and is a great game in itself.
it was a teaser, and it did it's job well. it was in game graphics and gameplay(though we saw little of it). what more do you want from a teaser?
i agree that people will buy it to have portable memory. for me, i don't care if i have my information or not. i just play the game, my system or not.
the 20gb hdd is already 100$. two 512mb for 50$ each is already as much as the 20gb hdd.
a smart move on sony's part. and like you said, looks pretty but gotta wait for the gameplay.
saw the vid somewhere else, and it looks good. can't wait to test it out and see how it really is.
powerstone is a classic game. i have both 1 and 2 for my dreamcast. best fighting game of its kind out there. i wish there were more sequels. went to texas once and saw an arcade machine for it too. played vs my friends who had not played it before and i owned them up good. haha.
