Your comment makes me think you're referring to cod 4 as "the very first one". If you had played the real call of duty 1 you would know that for its time the campaign was pretty awesome.

No ign will give it an 8 or an 8.5 like they do with every treyarch cod. Meanwhile infinity ward's titles, which are really the ones which have essentially been copy-paste jobs since MW1, all receive 9.5's.
