Based on the demo-graph Gamestick appears to be aiming for, I think I'll wait for them Steam Machines and those new game boxes I keep hearing about...that play...bid..vid..video..tapes. .er..games.
Clearly Pokemon is a big franchise, but the premise of the game has never appealed to me...but I'm glad this guy has found enjoyment out of it.
The closest he came to mentioning it was when he admitted that Windows Gaming should have been built like Steam...

Valve is very smart and Steam is a tough customer to crack. Not even Origin can compete. They had to forcefully pull their games just to get people to join.
It's certainly been cleaned up quite a bit from the E3 build. That was expected. Question is, does this game have the legs to become a stand-out franchise?
Visuals are there, but is there enough creativity to separate itself from games like GOW and other top tier hack n slashes?

Despite the numerous delays, in terms of anticipation, DayZ Standalone is still at the top of my list. And yes, as the article briefly touched upon, the zombies are a bigger threat in DayZ Standalone, however, the game is still best served through player-to-player encounters, which are far more frantic and heart pumping than thwarting z-freaks.
Based on the development updates, DayZ looks to bring more balance to player interaction, which in theory will mediate the mod'...
TV isn't where the big draw is for MLG or eSports in general. Online boasts astronomical numbers in terms of viewership, by comparison.

Hard not to get excited when they talk about SM3DW like this. Visually stunning, but a tough sell with the bar set by Galaxy. But if anyone can pull it off, it's Nintendo.
Super Mario 3D World seems like the successor you speak of, but it's hard to get excited with the bar SMG set. I just see a fusion of Mario titles spliced together, but nothing ground breaking like Galaxy.
Maybe that's why you feel the way you do?
