Actually it is. When your playing under a time constrait and not playing constantly every day for at least a few days and only logging on in a few intervals. That's what I'm starting to see right now, tried to get my friend to come back to WoW, but he stated he hated it so basically stuck with my two month pre-paid time. I figured I'd might as well use it and get to 30 then stop for the time being. Perhaps it was the Burning Crusade that made him stop and all the time he invested in it, as it seems he has jumped right back to FFXI which is what I am planning to do now. So you've been around the block on FFXI as well as you've reached 72 and were building the rest. Although I wish I could say yes, I think the limit back in the day was if you don't log in within' three months or at least pay or something of the sort then the account goes. My friend who just got back into it stated they increased the amount of time. So I believe it is 6 months now? I shall have to ask him later, but either way if it was at least a year ago I'm sad to say but probably not.
FFXI surely was...Hitting level 30 was a feat unto it's own and hitting level 50 was simply amazing back then to probably still is and I may step back into it due to the expansion and the new expansions they plan on releasing. (Thank goodness it will be a DLC though and won't have to go out and get it.)

It's mainly worth the 15 if you go in with friends, now if you play other games that are practically mandatory for team work (Such as FFXI) then I'd say just jump right in. I suppose if one is really dying to play an MMORPG [not sure if you are] it's best to simply look around the market first, of course I have my own strong positive as well as negative opinions about WoW and other MMOs, but I'll keep them at bay and just let others form their own.

I know only those who get the expansion are able to bypass that level gap of what it once was, but everyone universally is able to see the elevated level gap.
Logged on real quick and yes I can see everyone over the level of 60 and I still just have the original game.
Well since I just jumped right back into it after my year long leave I could probably give an analysis as to why people keep playing. Generally you can think of it in a few prospects to the game.
1. Friends, people either make friends who play the game or have friends that do. That in itself may keep people in although it may not justify the 15 a month it at least keeps some subscribers in.
2. Not counting the various updates that tweak the games and such, the game is not...

We'll in a sense yes and no. Could someone beat WoW in the fantasy Genre? Perhaps not as they are captivating young and old gamers alike with either their battle system or the art style they have chosen to go for. Isn't this quite common in the gaming industry though? As I am sure a few companies have done this in the past, planning to do it nor or perhaps in the future? I suppose one thing people should complain about more (if your a wii owner) is the fact that you can't officially beat the game as another story stated, otherwise I personally wouldn't worry to much.

Or better yet to convey how the Wii is portrayed in all of this Xbox360 & PS3 Vs. That's the only thing I don't like about this deal as I am unable to vote and have already contacted my folks to tell them I would try my best to get them one. Even got hours all through thanksgiving weekend and even on thanksgiving to try and get and get the funds. I suppose I should have read more carefully before getting all hyped up.
