Wow. Some of you are so quick to call foul without even thinking about the context of the scene. It's showing the horrors of war, that isn't just soldiers dying....it's people. It's everyone. It's WORLD war.
This scene, or any like it, is NOT unnecessary, it has meaning.
That said, from a controversy standpoint, I don't see how this scene could compare to actually putting the gun in your hand at the airport. That was intense.
Shame it doesn't work with pre-orders.
Really looking forward to this game.
It's also refreshing to see XPlay hasn't given up on it's endless quest to be totally unfunny. KEEP FIGHTING!
It's hilarious. I'm expecting the twist to be you're Jesus Christ and that's why you've been able to walk on water the entire time.
They seriously did an insanely great job on the zombies themselves, etc....but it's hilarious to see that, then kick a beach ball only to have it go about as far as a rock and not bounce, or float in water.
The game is unpolished as all get out, but it's sooooo friggin' addictive. Like, I don't mind that I can DRIVE A TRUCK IN THE OCEAN. The reactions the zombies give when you whack 'em around is fantastic.
Seriously, my personal favorite zombie game thus far.
Still like to check it out despite the bad rap. Plus, I just can't trust a review from a grown man in a Pokemon shirt.
It is after playing the Space Marine demo! Dead Island!
Totally agree. Mine is all paid off at GS, but if I sniff a hint of THE CARTEL in the game...man, I'm out. The only really awful thing I've seen so far in one of the vids is a couple zombies clipping through a barn wall.
JellyJelly, there are some good 15 minute videos on YT from a user playing it on the PS3. Lots of gameplay, and lots of cut scenes (which I skipped!).
Overall it looks to be a blast. Driving seemed wonky at best at first, but then you realize how limited the space is some places.
Yup. Totally works. And is quite fast, SMB and Zelda downloaded in like 10 seconds. If that.
While I'm no IGN fan, if it was video content created for IGN.com, it's IGN property.
For Robocop? Yes. Ten times yes. Have I before? No. Hell no. I usually don't give two shits about Avatar things, but I'm a MASSIVE Robocop fan.
It's all already there. I only knew about it because I was obsessively reloading the page waiting for the Robocop gear, haha!
More of a goof on trolling in general. My way of 'firsties!'. Which, as it happens, was a first for me.
ARRGH SCORE NOT HARDCORE ARRRGH. SONY OWN KINECTIMALS. ARRRRGH.
*snicker*
I usually don't care because, as many others pointed out, they're just opinions. But when someone is paid decent money, and I've paid to read their words in print, they damn sure better have the facts and not be inclined to simply make shit up.
So to answer, yes. Ben Reeves from Game Informer and his AvP review was just garbage. His magazine persona is also that of a complete tool who doesn't need to be a tool but feels like he needs to be a tool. What a tool...
To me the 360 surpassed my personal favorite, the snes, when I got mine and could utilize custom soundtracks. It was a mind blower to me then, and it's virtually the only system I haven't traded in (granted, I've traded UP).
Obviously he hasn't seen Deadly Premonition.
No potato?
If you haven't, check out the comics. They make the show look like nothing. It's far more dark, brutal, and emotionally draining at times.
