3rd Party devs will be hurting with Kinect. Watch their sales mirror 3rd party sales on the Wii. Pretty much non-existent. Seeing as M$ owns maybe 4 studios, they will have a hard time keeping consumers happy after launch. 3rd party devs don't make games for systems if the games don't sell like mad. Just science lol.
Sony on the other hand could keep Move afloat even if 3rd party devs stayed clear since they own something like 48 studios lol. We'll see a hug...

umm you must be pretty young. There was a machine called an iMac that set the trend off. It was around before iTunes, iPad, iPod, iPhone, etc.

Except Sony clears approx. $70 billion in revenue each fiscal year. Apple doesn't have a chance at making a purchase like that. ummm...The PS3 doesn't determine the display ability. The 3D displays using glasses or not will all be able to work with the PS3. The output is always the same. It is just that the pixels are convex on the newer TV's which work as the glasses for you basically. So instead of seeing the image on the TV, it would appear several feet out from the TV.
So PS4 will use this tech, but PS3 uses it too. It has been shown already on the Panasonic glasses-less displays. Go...

I think it was right of them to weed out the good devs from the average ones. Look at the 1st party acquisitions Sony has made in the last 2 console generations. They use their hardware to snag the best dev teams they can. Thus creating incomparable 1st party exclusives for them.
Year over year comparisons show that the PS3 is outselling 360 on an annual basis worldwide. PS3 is down by about 4 million units right now, but launched a year later. Do the math. It won't be happening. All they did was steal the USB Dongle used at Repair facilities. It is a Sony proprietary device. Not a single bit of hacking has been done. Sure some homebrew has been created since, but all they did was turn PS3's to dev units. If they couldn't hack before, they can't hack after. This will put them back to square one.
