DS started with very few games and the sales were flaw too (in fact in 2005 PSP was 1 mln over the DS in USA, and the DS had the entire year while the PSP released on March)
Then the Lite came out, Brain Age & co. were released, and DS flew on the top of the charts
But the starter support for PSP was excellent, if i recall correctly, in the first year games like GTA, Wipeout, Burnout, Exit, Lumines, Mercury, Daxter, Ape Escape, Pursui...
I'm happy to read the above comments, now I no longer feel like I'm the only one to think that the PSP had the best support for a handheld, that was decent to hold, and that the DS feel like a square...
I still can't believe that the PSP got so much hating and the DS so much love.
For those who now will call me fanboy, I love GBA, GCN and Wii and I like the DS too, but c'mon, if the DS is "the best handheld ever" and the PSP is crap ...
"Sure, the Vita might have one of the biggest launch lineups in history"
O Rly?
Can't wait for it to be "the PSP all over again", so it will be the best handheld ever: another fabulous quantity/quality of titles, but this time with god-tier hardware.
You're not only a fanboy, you're stupid and impolite too.
1)The PS2 version is an embarassement just like every PSP2PS2 port, the PSP version it's a great game.
2)This isn't Jak 4.
3)Please, stop with this ND fanboysm. They aren't the only good developers on the earth.
Ready at Dawn is an outstanding studio, if the next Jak game is made by them I'll expect a game on par if not better than the Naughty Dog's ones.
"Jak and Daxter: The Lost Frontier was a very disappointing outing for the beloved pair. "
No.
However, the US release date coincide with the Destination Playstation...maybe GOW 4 and Syphon Filter 4 aren't the only "4" we'll see at DP?
I think you should check out the PSP software, because what you're saying just isn't real.
PSP had a great support by Sony, they brought almost all the 1st party series, and they also got a good number of new games for it like Locoroco, Patapon, Patchwork Heroes, Pursuit Force series etc.
As for the third parties, in the first years PSP got the best western support ever for a handheld, while in the latters it got(and still get) a shitload of japanese ...
I'd pay billions for Vita to be "like the PSP", the software support of PSP was excellent.
As for Resistance, it was already confirmed by a Vita E3 video.
As for Uncharted, they can do what Guerrilla did with KZLiberation:they added online via patch.
I think PlayAsia is wrong.
Yakuza and Lost Planet 2(another game recently listed for Vita on Playasia) were, along with MGS4, the demo for the ports PS3->Vita.
But they aren't Vita games.
2 good Ubisoft games(Rayman and Lumines) in a launch line up? Can't believe it :O
Where the heck is Ratchet and Clank?
BTW I'm not surprised of the winner...Mario = GOTY, no matter if there are other games that deserves more... :/
Fake.The source is not reliable...
And ESRB logo on Japanese cover?Lolwut?
Yes, it was announced at E3 along to Munch's Oddyssee HD
How can Shinobi be in that list instead of Ratchet and Clank? Bah...
BTW Sonic Generations seems to be the best IMHO.I mean the HD version, not the "Dimpsed" version...
Rayman seems pretty good, I will play it on Vita, though I'd rather see a new 3d Rayman based on the third.
I am looking forward to Kirby too.
"With the PlayStation Vita the list of games will continue to grow as time goes by, but in the end what hardcore gamers want are the triple-a titles that the PSP once had in it’s arsenal."
I don't give a flying fuck about GTA but I love who wrote this sentence, because is SO true...
Everyobdy is talking about having new games(that PSP had too btw), but what gamers really want are spin offs of great AAA games.
That's why GTA LCS...
