Im thinking Scorpio will have a tiered price plan like usual with MS products....$399 entry level up to $499 with bigger HDD. Just a guess. No $399 price option and they will be slitting their throats cuz Sony is KILLING them globally AND will give the PRO a price cut to $349 to combat the Scorpio.

NFS is and has been dead for a while now. Looks like they want a burnout hybrid with this game like some of the others they tried to push on fans. 2005 MW and 2006 Carbon to me were the last two good NFS games and I hope that MS will enable them at least thru BC on the XB1 so I can enjoy them again at some point cuz the new wannabe NFS games they keep putting out are just a sad excuse for the series.
Nice to see MS secure a new partnership like they used to. Game looks cool and should be amazing on Scorpio as I am sure they will push the hardware even more due to the partnership showcasing the power of MS new machine as the BEST PLACE to play.
I just wanna know if this like the first games has the dreaded 'REQUIRES INTERNET' just to be able to play....hopefully it does not. OFFLINE SP CAMPAIGNS are STILL the best and most fun as well as giving a game more value as opposed to paying full price $60 for a MP fragfest which seems to be what most of these companies want to try and sell cuz its easy and cheaper for them and they make more profit by not investing as much into the game with a good narrative.
If they are smart and have learned from their terrible 2013 launch they will have a $399 option and a $449 option. Anymore than that and they will completely destroy ANY chance they have of gaining momentum and at least trying to take back North America. Failing? It's just a feature that allows certain gamers to potentially play certain older games they may have enjoyed on older hardware before. It's not meant to be the defining aspect for the success of the console now but it does add to the overall value by at least having the option to do so without charging for it like the competition does. 'What people are missing on the point of backwards compatibility'........eith er way BC is a great addition to have in a feature set of a console and anyone who try's to downplay it is an idiot because it isn't costing anything by having a free feature that allows you to play well made older games you may have liked last gen on your newer console and at your leisure.

Maybe when Ubisoft stops with the shitty INTERNET REQUIRED crap to play their mediocre games things will be different. That is why games with a REAL story and an OFFLINE SP campaign are and always will be relevant and keep games alive as opposed to online only games which loose their appeal especially when something else comes out thats better or more fun and then they spiral to an abrupt demise.
It was a poll not an actual study. Sony has a service which offers BC but they charge you for it as opposed to MS who offers it for free thru XB1 hardware emulation. PS4 has made a nice profit for Sony and gotten them back in the green BIG TIME so why would they want to cut into that profit margin by giving things away for free when they can just charge for it? Having more options wether you use them or not is ALWAYS better ask anyone in life.

Propably because they charge their users for BC with services like PSNOW or remaster and RESELL you an old favorite so they can make more profit as opposed to giving it to the users for free like MS is doing with XB1 BC.Having choices and options is ALWAYS better and having BC, wether you use it or not, is still better than not having it. Only a hater will argue that for obvious brand loyalty reasons.
I smell bullshit in this article trying to downplay the whole BC thing on XB1. PLENTY of people are using it myself included on a daily basis for certain last gen gems. Just look at the sales of the newly added BC titles like BOPS 1 and 2 and others when they drop. They are off the charts on places such as Amazon, etc. Misinformation at its finest.
Whats he gonna say? THey do not have the ability in the hardware yet to do it like XB1 does so he has to make a strong case against it. They do have PS Now and it offers their version of BC for their users but its nothing like BC on XB1.
