im sure Sony will make sure it has PS4 BC due to how great a gen this was for them in regards to turning things around and dominating with the killer games they have had. People will want to still play them on the PS5.
dont be surprised if the X is the end of the road for xbox. They have been dominated to the point they wont even mention sales anymore and have crap for exclusives. They have turned such a mediocre effort that other than the X which is a great piece of hardware, they have not gotten much right this gen other than BC. if they seriously wanted to do a sequel to ssod they would have already started it or been more vocal than they have been. resistance collection would be awesome especially in 4k for the Pro. A proper Resistance 4 or reboot would be killer and I dont know why Insomniac hasnt already done it for the PS4 this gen.

They are not willing to spend money anymore on studios or new IP's. They have already gone on record as saying they want GAAS type ecosystem and that SP games arent as viable to them as they were before. GOW, Horizon Zero Dawn, Death Stranding, TLOU 2, Spiderman, Detroit, the list goes on and on and on.......Take your pic as Sony delivers AAA TOP NOTCH GOTY HITS one after another. Imo GOW and Horizon Zero Dawn are the two top dogs til Death Stranding and TLOU 2 drop. Then we will be able to see which of these monster hits will have made the claim to that title. hopefully they are cooking up New SP offline IPs and not more GAAS SOT type blunders. Maybe Phil has been watching some God of War and Spiderman videos and finally realizing that what Sony is doing is what gamers actually want. One can hope.
Game looks amazing and on the Pro along with GOW will destroy any other game out there graphically on any system.
What happened was Mattrick followed by Mr. Phil and his GAAS/ONLINE INFUSED MP/ SUB BASED gaming agenda and cancelled games and hardware/services prioritized OVER games. Yeah that about sums it up sadly. X is a beast but has NOTHING like a Horizon or God of War to show what MS is capable of doing with it. Games define console experiences. ALWAYS WILL and thats why SONY will KEEP DOMINATING.
