the reason why the song is used is because it helps recreate the atmosphere of the era, if the guy who wrote the article doesn't realize that then he's retarded. the song itself was written to express an anti war sentiment, but the inclusion of it in the game was to simply try and create the illusion that they are in another time and place in history when that song came out. DUH!
and i thin i might actually buy this game, i was super close to buying the blu ray movies tonight but i was too shy to buy them since the girl at the videostore was super cute.
God of War III is way better, and i own both consoles, i had a hard time enjoying this game compared to God of War III. from a technical standpoint and even gameplay, and that is saying alot since the GOW III mechanics are essentially the same as the previous games, in fact it's still using the same gameplay engine.
reviewers look for reasons to trash games and always seem to forget the time and hard work needed to make some of these games. for many studios a game that receives bad reviews can destroy them. quite frankly the internet feeds the unhappy nerds who trash every game no matter how fun the game might be, with that being said it seems as if nobody is ever happy or ever likes anything.
it only confirms what we've all suspected, the bigger the company the greater the pressure will be applied. US websites must be the most corrupt of the bunch with some of the reviews i've seen, the only only that i question now is whether or not some games are given a lower score than what they should have received because the competiton is buying them off (IGN score for God of War 3 is a great example)
not every game has to have multiplayer, as soon as i read that i got douche chills, god of war 3 has no multiplayer and it's an amazing game. quite frankly multiplayer is overated no matter what game it's for. people online ruin the fun most of the time anyway.
kratos has becoming just as iconic and heroic because of the struggles the character endures, there's so much depth to the character which is what i love about him, and having the series tied into greek mythology makes it that much sweeter. greek mythology has some of the greatest tales ever told with some of the most colorful characters, and to think these stories are thousands of years old too!
and it had a weak story and corny VO but the reviewers weren't too friendly with it. it's the only game next to MGS4 i've finished almost 10 times. this looks to be in the same league as mercs, a must buy for me.
