N4BmpS, are you sure it is not Sony's MMO "The Agency" (SOE), you found? "Agent" is developed and published by Rockstar companies. I confused these two for a while.
I'll give you that on the batteries. It was just a commercial for Sony's existing battery technology. They should have put a N/A instead.
Buttons should be rephrased as "Motion controller" instead, since the existing 360 controller cannot be used in this way (except if you throw it, I guess ;).
The wireless part was not to call out Kinnect, but to point out the difference to the Wii motion controller. But again to be fair, they should have u...
The only feature so far is automatic download of patches, demos a.s.o. in a specified time slot.
The rest is offers, full game trials, early betas and some free games, themes and magazine access (Qore in US). Still pretty sweet, and I would have considered it this month, if they didn't choose games I already own. Maybe later.
From rumors, I heard it is a modified ext2 Linux format with heavy encryption. Different file systems are not directly compatible with each other, it is done by libraries/kernel (like in Linux, you could run FAT32, NTFS and ext2/3/4 partitions + different encryptions at the same time).
Just because the PS3 can read FAT32 USB-disks, doesn't mean it is running FAT32 on its own disk, and it is surely not (or it would have been hacked a long time ago).
Yup, a CAM-slot is all I need for the PlayTV2 too... the issue with MPEG4 recording is also in other countries, so I would guess that will be a main feature of the new one.
PlayTV were never officially sold in Denmark, even though it has Danish translations, so I don't have high hopes for a CAM-slot/DVB-C/S
Sure .. next they will remove the blu-ray drive, since you can buy movies and games online (some places on Earth). Or the pesky Wi-Fi, or the card reader and PS2-emulation on the oldest models, or even PS1-emulation on every model. And everybody is of course happy with that, right?
For those (like me), whereas the player doesn't work for, this is their source:

Simply breathtaking beautiful cars.
When they deliver a decent game (for my minimum needs), I will buy the game. But after playing the beta, it just feels too much as a single player game (with a monthly payment).
They may be up to 50% more expensive (I mainly shop at DVD.co.uk or amazon.co.uk), but think of the quality upgrade, both audio and visual. It is the same price I paid for DVDs just a year ago (but obviously they have become even cheaper with the rise of Blu-rays).
Torchlight is made by former Diablo-developers (who where merged into Blizzard), so there is clearly a connection here. The next step is to make an MMO of Torchlight, and I guess their experiences from World of Warcraft will help here too.
The N900 uses Maemo, an open source platform for development (it is Linux with GTK/Gnome). I doubt it is illegal to make an emulator, even though most of the ROMs are illegal to download, as those emulators have been used for many years on many platforms (maybe even the Wii is using this technology?).
What Nintendo probably can sue for, is the using their products in marketing without consent.
yup, it feels like a girlie-magazine with "10 things you just must have! Prada bags, lovely shoes and whatnot crap" or gear-magazines "10 things you just must have! USB-snowman, cellphone with 1000 of useless features and whatnot ... GOTY-awards and the like is at least a lot of steps up from this crap, who needs to be in gossip-gutter.
Mike gave the answer: "Tuesday is to match the US release date…we had lots of discussions on the release date, and this was decided to keep everyone happy ;)"
It could be fun if it was Nice with cars/stories like in Taxi (the French movies, not the terrible American movie). But I guess you're right that it would fit more with Paris in the line of the former big cities in GTA (New York, London, Miami, San Fransisco) and especially with the latest remake of NY (and the Statue of Liberty).
Yup, from their scoring rating, a 9 is a superb game, whereas 10 is in the category as GOTY. Apparently they didn't like that there was only 10 hour gameplay (multiplayer cannot pull down the score, right?).
1.1 I agree. Boomtown is owned by the Danish ISP TDC, and it is just divided into two languages: Danish and English, which seldom have different content. It is actually a 95, but it doesn't run with their system.
Here in Denmark, I have already looked at next weeks printed ads (from my work ;). The PSP Go is sold from 1st of october and cheaper than I thought (with a nice hint to the Gran Turismo free download 1.-10. october).
masterg: only Coolshop.dk has a Danish price at the moment, and the fat ps3 is even cheaper around. After September 1st, I guess the price will drop to about DKK 2500,- (still $480) or even lower. Many Danes buy the PS3 on amazon.co.uk (even though they officially don't sell to Denmark, they still do). Damn taxes :(
it is true, most of the products feels catered to the UK-market first:
1. PlayTV (can be used most places, but only really useful in countries with free mpeg2 (and some mpeg4) terrestrial broadcasting, like UK and Germany)
2. BBC iPlayer (UK IPs only)
3. VidZone (UK and some of the other big European countries only)
Damn, even the bugs looks awesome. I guess they will have it sorted out before launch.
