How does sony keep pumping out exclusives? Simple. They were made earlier(hence 2007s no games era) and were pumped out once they were finished(console's end cycle). The rest are sequels, most PS3 exclusives are a PS2 sequel or a sequel of an original IP.
Crysis 2 is already dated, thanks to consoles.
New IPs are so rare this gen. Every successful game is in an immediate need of a sequel. Just look at Uncharted.

Am I? Say I want to play MGS2. I buy it at Gamestop used for 5 bucks. Its 2011, there are no new copies. How is Kojima going to profit from those 5 bucks I gave to Gamestop? Most PS2 games are unavailable new, so the devs just wont profit.

With all these features and hardware their removing, they better make it in the 149-199 range. This gen is almost over and consoles are still at 250+.
20 studios, 20 games each 2-5 years. This gen, only Drake and Kratos are known. They should really start making better games.
