Hope bloodbourne is good!

Apparently it's better on the white ones, the ongoing secret recall of all the first black ones is still ongoing...

Oh dear - gaming seems to be struggling industrywide!
- a digital future where profits go wholly to developers instead of for trade-ins may not be popular among gamers, but unless we all stop bitching and start ponying up the dollar to support the industry we love, it looks like we'll all have a hell of a lot more to complain about...

Halo Co-op campaign, one of the greatest gaming experiences to be had.
Halo multiplayer, one of the greatest gaming experiences to be had.

You absolutely should! Halo Master Chief collection is your chance! You won't regret it

It really is a massive service to the fans. To revisit those classic moments and get ready for the new next gen Halo, it's a special game for sure. I have no shame in saying halo is my favourite game series of all time - pure magic

I can't contain myself - I need to do something to get my halo fix! Gonna be AWESOME!

Like what? There's no obvious ones that come to my mind - certainly not of the order of halo or gears or mario

This could be a dark horse - nobody's/ talking about this potentially being great, and you just never know...

There's more of a focus on social gaming with the xbox, I rarely play playstation co-op but over the years, xbox has been the place I play with friends.
The experience of halo and to a certain extent gears of war, it's hours on end of great fun and memories that make it worthy of buying the console every gen. Like mario for Nintendo.
Uncharted and order, and last of us great single player but where's the flagship experience to share with ur pals and build those kil...

Agreed. sales aren't everything, less people buy a Ferrari than a Ford but that doesn't mean ferrari's aren't great fun.
- xbox is being driven by the fans now as it should have been from the start!
1 billion into exclusives, all praise to sony for their success but xbox is going to be a great place to game over the coming years - and only get better!

They didn't kill those things - they made those things. You're confused

Spot on this - gamers whine and bitch when it isn't necessary but stand up
for Sony when it comes to this?!
- if you keep saying you love sony and you love indies - guess what, we can say good ya to lots of AAA titles on Ps4
Is that what you want?
I certainly don't

Worrying these comments... If I only wanted indie games I'd just play casual on my iPad. Why bother uprgrading £300 just to play games that could be on last gen? I know some indie games are fun, but AAA's sell consoles. Gotta be the primary focus!

This is going to be great on xbox live - wonder if the matchmaking system is good, getting 7 friends together would be tough!

Ps4 - brokenness awaits

I think we all need to get real and temper our expectations
- it's not our fault that we are being shown supreme demos at conferences that are unachievable in reality.
But we know this now after watchdogs, so if we focus more on the gameplay and the experience, we're less likely to be disappointed come release.

The negative element of a games linearity is that it can hamper the replayability - the longevity of a game can suffer if a second playthrough garners a near identical experience to the first.
A linear game isn't necessarily bad, just easier to get bored of as there's generally less variation in gameplay.
