I don't see TLOU2 being released in 2018. The developers themselves said that it was in the very early stages of development and that they are only going to move forward with it AFTER they complete the DLC for uncharted 4. Naughty dog is not one of those EA/Ubisoft/Activision type of companies to try and rush out unfinished, buggy messes just to satisfy impatient fans.
People have the right to like and not like, support and not support, agree with and not agree with whatever the hell they want. The same people championing the right to choice, the right to love who you want and the right to be who you want to be are the same ones calling for the complete destruction of Christianity, the removal of certain religious rights and the silencing of any opinion that doesn't agree with their own.
