I can see this as a component of the PS4. Picture it: a box (for blu-ray), a controller, and the visor. Hopefully, by that time, the cost will come down. Really, Sony need marginally upgrade the tech specs of the PS3 for the PS4 and release this headset along with the box/controller as a bundle.... GoW 4 would be amazing with this thing!
I own all 3 consoles and am an avid fan of all of them. In my opinion, you have 3 battling forces: graphic fidelity, storage space, and cost. From the pics of the new engines released by Epic and Crytek, it is really hard for me to see such a massive increase in graphic fidelity of the games to justify the cost. We are reaching a threshold in eyesight where we will not be able to distinguish better and better graphics so the next generation, in order to really impress us with graphics, wou...
It is really simple what the 'next-gen' requirements are: 1. a high-capacity SSD (so that the read off the HD is quick) 2. high end graphics and physics processors 3. high capacity optical media with a high read rate. The uber-games of 'next gen' will need these items to wow us! Also, gone are the days of 30 fps... 60 fps has to be the status quo...
Although I was expecting Bowser, it is amazing how incredibly weak they've made him. Having said that, it would have been nice to see them bring someone like Wart back... Still getting the game day one though! Sunday (11-15) can't come soon enough.
They already did this during the day of the NES. I think they called the AI 'R.O.B.'
Reggie, Iwata, Shiggy and company really have to do something to counterbalance the atrocity that was their E3 presser. I have been a huge Nintendo fanboy since the days of Nintendo vs. Sega, but after yesterday's presser, I somehow feel used and dejected and can no longer justify their actions on a moral standpoint (who said business was moral anyways?). Nintendo lured me into purchasing their sub-next gen system, with their tried-and-true franchises like Mario and Zelda. Then, after gain...
In my humble opinion, Nintendo is slightly different from Sony and Microsoft. Their first party offering is so powerful a draw, it can pretty much carry the console. This being said, maybe they need to employ an all digital distribution. That is, have a handheld device that connects to their online store where you can download and play the game on the go. Then, have a more traditional home-based console that carries that same game you downloaded on the handheld, maybe uprez-ing the graphics s...
